Labprice PARP Antibody

Biovision

Antigen alternative names: PARP1, ADPRT, PPOL, NAD(+) ADP-ribosyltransferase 1
Immunogen sequence: Synthetic peptide corresponding to caspase cleavage site in human PARP
Accession number: NP_001609
Purification: Affinity purified
Background information: PARP, a 116 kDa nuclear poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase, is a highly conserved nuclear enzyme implicated in DNA repair and in the apoptosis response of cells. This protein can be cleaved by many caspases in vitro and is one of the main cleavage targets of caspase-3 in vivo. The cleavage occurs between ASP214 and Gly 215, which separates PARP’s N-terminal DNA binding domain (24 kDa) from its C-terminal catalytic domain (89 kDa). It has been shown that cleavage of PARP facilitates cellular disassembly and inhibition of PARP cleavage attenuates apoptosis in vitro.

Description: Rabbit Polyclonal antibody recognizing Human antigen.

Host: Rabbit
Species reactivity: Human
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: Rabbit IgG
Concentration: 0.2 mg/ml
Formulation: In phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 5 mM EDTA and 0.03% proclin
Form: Liquid
Application: Western blot analysis (1-4 µg/ml). The polyclonal anti-PARP antibody recognizes the full length (116 kDa) and the cleaved fragment (85 kDa) of human PARP. However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually.
